All of sudden, things are looking up!

Last month there were 3 referrals. Not good news. This month, in the 2 days the agency has been open, there have been 6 referrals! That is HUGE! 3 baby boys have been referred in the last two days, which means there is only like 1 or 2 people in front of us. If things keep up at this pace, we will have our referral any day now! Ok, this is a weird position to be in, because, on the one hand, we jump everytime the phone rings during the day, and on the other hand, it still could be a few weeks, or even a month before we hear anything. So, all that to say, we are very close, but still it is a waiting game. Keep those prayers coming! When we get our referral, I won't be able to post the pictures, because that is hugely FROWNED upon by the Ethiopian gov't, because he won't be ours yet, and they don't want pics of their kids floating around the internet. I can totally understand that. I also want to be in good standing with the Ethiopian gov't. :) About a month or two after we get our referral we will get a court date. That is the next BIG thing to pray about. If we pass court, he's ours, and we travel to get him. If we don't pass court, it will be another month or two before we can go to court again, so that would be a huge setback. (about 30% of the cases don't pass the first time, for various reasons. I would rather be in that 70%! :) So, we are thrilled that things are moving again, and we continue to pray for that referral to come, for his health, for passing court, safe travels...you get the picture.
