We had some bad news yesterday. It looks like our wait time will be pushed back again. We are now up to 7-9 months from our dossier arrival date. That puts us at around December or January for travel to pick up our son.
When we started the process we were looking at from 3-5 months after dossier arrival before we travel. It seems that the drought and forced power outages have had a toll on the country. There are power outages almost daily, making it difficult to get work done.
We are trying to stay focused and positive. It is hard at times though. Please pray for us that we would keep our eyes on the prize. We desire to be faithful in all things. Also pray for the people of Ethiopia. Pray that they would have everything they need for their daily lives.

Saw the mention about your blog from the AWAA YG and thought I'd pop over and say hello. * HELLO!* So glad you joined the YG!! We're sorta neighbors... we are in AZ. Not many west coast AWAA families so we will take all the folks we can get on the west coast!! ;)
I don't want to discourage you but yesterday per the travel CC we were told to expect travel DEC/JAN for those with referals in AUG. We just received our referral 8.28.08 and are uncertain we will make it before the end of the year. I hope and PRAY things will move much faster than anticipated and that all us other families will have cleared through the courts freeing up space for you guys so that you can truly travel before the end of the year.......There's always hope.
